10 September 2020: Single student tests positive at Frenchay Campus. Bristol Post.

8 October 2020: University of the West of England: “UWE said on Thursday (October 8) it had three positive cases.” Bristol Live.

13 October 2020: University of Bristol / University of West England: On why there is such a great discrepancy between their numbers of cases: “While Bristol University started to welcome students on campus on September 18, UWE students have just started to move into halls now.” Bristol Post.

19 October 2020: University of the West of England: 62 positive cases in the last seven days.

22 October 2020: University of the West of England: 117 positive cases in the last seven days. 41 on the 20 October, 27 on the 21 October.

27 October 2020: University of the West of England: 243 positive cases in the last seven days. There have been 333 cases since the 15 October.

28 October 2020: University of the West of England: “Concerns have been raised over a lack of mandatory face masks for students and staff at the University of the West of England (UWE). One lecturer said staff “don’t feel safe” and he felt “insulted” at the suggestion staff were “happy to go to Sainsbury’s and the pub but not work”.” BBC.
