15 September 2020: Oxford Brookes University states “We are currently dealing with a small but growing number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 amongst our Oxford-based students. These appear to have spread via social gatherings in off-campus private residential settings during the week commencing September 7.” Oxford Mail.

22 September 2020: “As of 9am on September 23 there have been a total of 30 covid-19 cases at Oxford Brookes over the last seven days.” Oxford Mail.

7 October 2020: “ONE hundred new cases of coronavirus have been identified at Oxford Brookes University. In the week leading up to October 2 (last Friday), 98 students and two members of staff tested positive for Covid-19. The number of cases at the university was more than double the week before.” Oxford Mail.

14 October 2020: Oxford Brookes: “In the week leading up to October 9 (last Friday), there were 96 positive results. Only one of them was a member of staff and the other 95 were students.” Oxford Mail. By our reckoning, this give a total of 281 students and 3 staff tested positive since September 7.

21 October 2020: Oxford Brookes: ” In the week leading up to October 16 (last Friday), there were 68 positive results. One of them was a member of staff and the other 67 were students.” The Herald. By our reckoning, this give a total of 348 students and 4 staff tested positive since September 7.

28 October 2020: Oxford Brookes: “In the seven days up to 23 October, we have been notified of 58 confirmed cases at Oxford Brookes. 54 of these cases were students and four were members of staff.” Source: Internal communication. By our reckoning, this give a total of 402 students and 8 staff testing positive since September 7.
